Paper Pot Maker
With Burgon & Ball’s pot-making kit, crafting your own seedling pots is a breeze using nothing more than recycled newspapers! You can easily generate a constant stream of durable but biodegradable pots for your seeds, seedlings, and young plants. This kit provides three different pot sizes: 3cm, 4.75cm, and 6cm in diameter, providing seedlings with an ecological solution, all without the use of plastic. The pot-making kit is constructed from FSC-certified wood, comes with illustrated instructions to guide you through the process, and makes a practical and thoughtful gift for any gardener.
To create your pots, simply wrap a strip of paper loosely around the wooden pot former, secure the ends under the pot former, and twist to secure using the base piece. Then fill your new seedling pot with compost and plant up as usual. When your seedling is ready to be planted in the ground, the pot can be left intact, reducing root disturbance. The pot will naturally biodegrade over time.
